1. The Blue Hole, Abu Gulum, Dahab
What can one say? Spectacular perfection
2. Ras Mohammed
A famous dive site with wonderfully varied sealife
3. Sharm el Naga
Brilliant shore dive, with a choice of two superb protected reefs, teeming with life.
4. Reef Beach, Ras Um Sid, Sharm el Sheikh
Straight from the beach, and into a tropical aquarium
5. Far Garden, Na'ama Bay
Visually stunning. Plenty of fish, but really it was swimming through the coral formations which made this one memorable
6. Sha'ab el Erg
Very good reef dives from the boat, and a chance to snorkel with Dolphins. Sadly, whilst we saw dolphins, we weren't
allowed to go in as they had a baby with them
7. Off Tiran Island
Good sea life and good coral
8. Giftun Island
Shoals of Damselfish and some good fish, but mediocre coral
9. Sharm el Maya
Not the greatest, from a sandy tourist beach, but least we got to meet an extremely beautiful, friendly, and photogenic Whitespotted Pufferfish
10. El Bayud Reef, near El Gouna
Was heading towards being disppointing - with modest viz, and not the greatest sealife. Redeemed somewhat by a Unicornfish, some huge
Angelfish, and the chance to dive a small wreck
11. The Blue Lagoon
The only time we've felt slightly disappointed, as the sealife was relatively sparse compared to other dives in Egypt.
Mind you, that's only relative
